Ellen Lettrich, M.S., CCC-SLP | The VoiceVerse owner and service provider

Ellen Lettrich, M.S., CCC-SLP is a nationally certified speech-language pathologist, vocal coach, and theater educator with a deep belief in the power of voice as identity. As the founder of The VoiceVerse, Ellen blends evidence-based voice therapy with artistic expression to help each client—whether performer, student, or professional—feel heard, confident, and fully expressed.

With three decades of experience across Broadway, public schools, and private practice, Ellen’s approach is uniquely integrative. She specializes in voice and articulation therapy for tweens, teens, and adults—supporting healthy sound production from the first breath to final bow. Her work draws equally from clinical science and stagecraft, ensuring sessions are as strategic as they are soulful.

Ellen’s career began dually in public high school academic (social studies) education and arts education. She directed, choreographed, and produced many educational theater performances in Philadelphia, Southern California, The Pittsburgh area, and Notheastern Ohjo. She is the Founder and for many years was the Director of MTCA, a New York City-based, internationally-known team of teaching artists who specialize in preparing students for the ultra-competitive college musical theatre and acting audition processes. Ellen has worked with hundreds of pre-professional theatre students through MTCA as a vocal coach, medical singing voice specialist, and vocal health adviser.  One of Ellen’s greatest joys as “the Grandma of MTCA” is cheering for her alumni as they lead Broadway and National Touring companies of musicals and plays; star in television shows and films;  become producers, directors, and music directors; and become voice-specialized SLPs and certified vocologists!

Ellen’s passion for vocal health led her to earn a master’s in speech-language pathology, adding clinical precision to her already seasoned musical ear. Today, she’s known for her joyful, neurodiversity-affirming sessions—complete with personalized treatment plans with everything from Harry Potter- to football-themed articulation drills, Broadway warm-ups, and the occasional puppet!

A proud member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) with licenses and SLP in schools endorsements in several states, Ellen has presented on voice and performance at national conferences and has led vocal health workshops for theaters, universities, and creative organizations across the country. Her clients include aspiring Broadway performers, school-aged students navigating speech differences, and professionals whose voices are their livelihood.

Through The VoiceVerse, Ellen offers a rare blend of heart, humor, and high-level technique. Whether you’re recovering from vocal fatigue, prepping for a dream role, or finding the confidence to speak up in class, she’ll help you uncover the voice that feels most like you.

Because here, voice work isn’t just about how you sound.

It’s about how you show up.
